Students will also learn how common misalignments in the foot, knee, neck, shoulders and spine can be observed in asana, and corrected through anatomical alignment principles.
Topics to include but not limited to:
- breath and its connection to the psoas, organs, spinal movement, digestion, circulation, neck, shoulders, back, etc.;
- how asana and moving with the breath is therapeutic for all these relationships;
- common problems associated with human spines and how Yoga asana may help or hinder;
- the foot and knee – how asana helps support functional movement patterns and others do not.
Certification: Upon completion you will be eligible to register 19.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) with Yoga Alliance (YA).
