Unwind with Yin Yoga and the healing sounds of live sitar. Experience deep relaxation, presence, and renewal.

Join yoga therapist & healer, Merry Trentadue and multi-instrumentalist, composer, and music educator Daniel de Lorimier for an experience of deep sacred stillness. Allow yourself to unwind and restore through a nurturing Yin Yoga practice, enhanced by the rich, meditative sounds of live sitar. This unique experience is designed to cultivate deep relaxation, presence, and renewal.

The Raga music performed in traditional sitar playing dates back thousands of years to the ancient times of India, when great sages developed timeless melodies through spiritual discipline and union with nature. “Nadha Brahma” which translates to “sound is God” is the creed of all artists in this tradition. A Raga is essentially a musical deity that takes shape in the form of sound. It has tremendous healing and transformative power. The depth of this music combined with the acoustic mastery of the sitars’ 20 strings creates a most potent sonic journey.

Yin yoga stimulates the movement of chi through twelve distinct meridian lines where we harbor many of our deepest emotions. Through extended holds, we create ample space for our bodies to energetically release these emotions and create a sense of clarity, calm and truth. Yin is a powerful practice to help us all relax, rejuvenate and reconnect to our true selves.

Merry and Daniel are looking forward to sharing this special offering with you!

Merry Trentadue has been practicing yoga since moving to California from the East Coast in 2003. What began as a way to support her marathon running grew into a deep appreciation for yogic practices and philosophy. She is highly trained and certified as a C-IAYT Yoga Therapist, E-RYT 500 teacher, and YACEP education provider.

“Yoga has expanded my awareness; I live from a more heart-centered place than ever before. It is an incredible honor to share it.”

Of the many yogic paths, she feels most connected to Bhakti Yoga (the yoga of devotion) —leading Kirtan, training others, and founding The Soul of Yoga’s monthly Kirtan Club in 2018. Join her the 1st Saturday of each month!

She is also a Direct Divine Light Healer, Reiki Master Teacher, Certified Metaphysician, and a gifted Sound Healer, offering a compassionate space for students to explore the connection of mind, body, and spirit. She shares her gifts in public classes and private 1:1 sessions.

Outside the studio, Merry loves traveling (especially bhakti travel!) , the outdoors, Kirtans, and hugs.

Daniel de Lorimier is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, and music educator whose work bridges Western and Indian classical traditions.

Originally from Salinas, California, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance with an emphasis in Jazz Guitar from San Francisco State University in 2018.

Today, Daniel’s artistic focus centers on the sitar and the meditative, expressive qualities of Indian classical music. Drawing inspiration from both traditional raga performance and contemporary musical exploration, he creates immersive musical experiences that cultivate presence, reflection, and flow. His growing connection to yoga and mindfulness practices naturally complements his musical work, and he enjoys supporting movement, meditation, and contemplative spaces through the accompaniment of sitar.
