Through both Eastern and Western understandings of trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety and grief, we will study evidence based Yogic interventions to support sustained mental and emotional wellness. This 6 day course includes the following 5 workshops:

November 5-6, 2025
Yogic for Depression & Anxiety with Amy Weintraub

Author of Yoga for Depression and Yoga Skills for Therapists, and founder of LifeForce Yoga, Amy Weintraub shares her evidenced-based protocols on how to use Yogic tools of pranayama, asana, mantra, mudra and simple meditations to address agitated, fatigued, anxious and depressive states. The workshop will include a mix of practice, lecture and practicum.

November 7-8, 2025
Trauma-Informed Yoga with Shawnee Thornton Hardy

Rooted in trauma-informed principles, this training integrates education on the neurobiology of trauma, the Polyvagal Theory, and the role of the vagus nerve with yoga and somatic practices to foster resilience, self-agency, and embodied healing.

Transcending the Kleshas with Flossie Park

The Kleshas, considered to be the main roots of human suffering, are aversion, division, ignorance and fear. Explore the Kleshas through a modern lens with reflective and supportive practices that help uncover the belief systems we hold about life which limit our capacity to open to new possibilities of existence.

The Science of Grief with Monique Minahan

Monique Minahan, the author of The Grief Practice, will explain the mental, emotional, physical and communal aspects of grief through a polyvagal-based, trauma-informed lens. Looking through the lens of neuroscience and movement science, we see how Yogic practices can provide a container where the experience of grief can be related to with curiosity and compassion.

November 10, 2025 
Feel it to Heal It with John Vosler

Many people unconsciously shut off their emotional embodied experience due to deep-seated trauma, fear and aversion. This is an experiential workshop providing compassionate guidance and the opportunity to experience the benefits of feeling it to healing it. You’ll gain a sense of personal empowerment and tools to empower your clients and students on their emotional healing journeys.
