A Structured Path Into Shakti Kundalini Yoga

This training weaves together a complete yoga teacher education with a focused Kundalini specialization grounded in traditional yogic and tantric frameworks.

More than technique, you will learn how awakening unfolds, how the body and mind prepare for it, and how to work with it in a way that is skillful, and sustainable.

Within this program, you develop:

  • Teaching Foundations
Alignment, sequencing, hands-on guidance, and real classroom skill
  • Subtle Anatomy in Practice
Deep dive into chakras, nadis, prana, and how energy actually moves and reorganizes the system
  • Meditation and Inner Work
Practices that work beyond the surface mind and support deeper transformation
  • Ethical and Trauma-Aware Teaching
Consent-based facilitation and language that honors each student’s process
  • Progressive Kundalini Preparation
Building the body and nervous system’s capacity before working with stronger energetic practices
  • Personal Sadhana
A consistent inner practice that becomes the ground of your teaching
  • Professional Readiness
Clear communication, practicum, and next steps into teaching or advanced study

What Makes Shakti Kundalini Yoga Different

This training is based in a stream of yoga that understands Kundalini as Shakti, the intelligent force of consciousness that moves through life, healing, and awakening.

Rather than chasing peak experiences, this approach emphasizes:

  • Preparing the system so awakening can unfold without overwhelm
  • Working with energy through breath, sound, movement, and attention
  • Understanding how samskaras and karmic patterning surface and release
  • Supporting integration, not just activation

Kundalini is not treated as something to force upward. It’s something to prepare for, receive, and learn to live with.

exploring the layers of being through kundalini yoga immersion

“When Kundalini is approached with preparation, the process becomes something that can be lived, not just experienced. The body, the mind, and the subtle system begin to reorganize in a way that is coherent, and what unfolds becomes something you can trust, understand, and eventually guide in others.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Shakti Kundalini Yoga?

It is an approach to Kundalini that understands it as the living force of consciousness, and works with it through preparation, subtle anatomy, and intentional practice rather than intensity or force.

Is this the same as Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan?

No. This training includes transparency around modern lineages, and centers classical and traditional frameworks. Some practices may be referenced, but they are clearly contextualized and not presented as the sole system.

What is Kundalini, really?

Kundalini is not just a concept or a dramatic experience. It is an energetic potential within the human system that, when activated, begins to reorganize the body, mind, and consciousness.

Why is preparation emphasized so much?

Because without preparation, awakening can feel destabilizing. Practices in this training help clear pathways, strengthen the system, and create the capacity to receive and integrate what arises.

Will I experience Kundalini awakening in this training?

The awakening of Kundalini can take an instant or years so it’s not the goal of the training to have an awakening experience. The purpose of this training is to understand the process, build capacity, and develop a relationship with the practices that support safe awakening over time, while learning how to be a safe and experienced guide for others.

What is subtle anatomy and why does it matter?

Subtle anatomy describes the energetic structure of the human system, including chakras, nadis, and prana. Without understanding this, Kundalini practices remain surface-level or misunderstood.

Can I teach after this training?

Yes. You will graduate with the skills to teach yoga classes that integrate breath, movement, meditation, and introductory Kundalini-informed practices, along with a strong ethical and educational foundation.

Who is this training for?

This training is for practitioners who feel called toward deeper inner work, who want to understand energy and consciousness in a grounded way, and who want to teach from experience rather than performance.
