“The teacher training program at the Soul of Yoga has been formulated by a body of incredible human beings, each of whom has dedicated their lives to serving others and providing Yoga for the world. The program is thoughtful, effective, and gives the participants a fantastic education in the history, philosophy and practices of Yoga. The course does a great job covering each of the major modern lineages along with a look into the historical texts of the Bhagavad Gita and the Vedic traditions. The training also covers training in anatomy and physiology with specializations offered in Vinyasa, Gentle, Kundalini, and Yin yoga. I couldn’t recommend this program enough – I’m so glad I chose Soul of Yoga, and look forward to participating in many more training opportunities with them.”

Questions On the Path

Here are answers to some of the questions we most often hear from students and seekers exploring yoga practice, study, and teacher training with Soul of Yoga.

Soul of Yoga offers daily yoga classes, specialty workshops, retreats, and ongoing events that support physical, emotional, and spiritual growth. You can join in person at our Encinitas studio or participate live and recorded online from anywhere. For those who feel called to study more deeply, we also offer yoga teacher training through a structured yoga teacher training course pathway.

Yes. We offer a New Student Special so you can experience the studio and teachers before committing long-term. New students receive 2 weeks of unlimited in-person yoga for $69.

With approximately 70 in-person classes each week, it’s a simple way to explore different class styles and instructors, and to get a feel for whether a yoga teacher training certificate path is something you may want to pursue in the future.

Absolutely. We welcome students at every level, whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time, returning after time away, or have been practicing for years. Classes are designed to meet you where you are, with options ranging from gentle and restorative to more flowing and energizing. Many students also use this steady class rhythm as preparation for yoga teacher training, before they decide to become a certified yoga teacher.

We offer a wide range of classes taught by deeply experienced teachers, with each class rooted in tradition and guided with care.

Our classes include:

  • Vinyasa
  • Hatha
  • Gentle
  • Ashtanga
  • Kundalini
  • Yin
  • Restorative
  • Yoga Nidra
  • Prenatal
  • Breathwork
  • Sound Healing
  • Qigong, and more

For students exploring a longer path of study, these classes can also support your direction toward a yoga teacher training course or a specific yoga teacher training certificate. Many practitioners use regular practice to prepare for focused pathways such as Vinyasa yoga teacher training, Hatha yoga teacher training, Kundalini yoga teacher training, or Yin Yoga teacher training.

Soul of Yoga blends the heart of traditional yogic lineage with insight for everyday life. Students often describe the experience as grounded, community-oriented, and guided by teachers who prioritize embodied understanding rather than information alone.

For those comparing programs, we offer Yoga Alliance-accredited yoga teacher training alongside opportunities for continued study, including yoga therapy certification. If you’re looking for yoga teacher training near you, what many discover here is depth, mentorship, and a learning community that supports both personal and professional growth.

Not for all paths. Many offerings, including daily classes, workshops, and community events, are open to all levels. For formal yoga teacher training, some foundational experience is recommended or required, depending on the program.

If you’re exploring a yoga teacher training course, our team can help you find the right entry point. For most students, that begins with the 200-hour yoga teacher training, which serves as the foundational yoga teacher training certificate and prepares you for continued study and certification.

Yes. We offer a robust online schedule of live classes, with recorded sessions available to support ongoing study, and full training programs. Students join us from around the world and stay connected through shared learning and community.

If you’re exploring yoga teacher training, you can choose between online or in-person yoga teacher training options depending on what best fits your life and schedule. Our team is available to help you navigate the available yoga teacher training course options and choose a yoga teacher training certificate pathway that feels aligned with your goals.

Yes. We offer several yoga membership options to support different rhythms of practice. Students can choose from three in-person yoga memberships at our Encinitas studio, as well as an online-only yoga membership for those practicing from home or while traveling.

Our In-Person Yoga Memberships:

  • 5-Class In-Person Membership
Ideal for practicing about once a week and staying connected to your mat and community.
  • 10-Class In-Person Membership
Well-suited for students ready to deepen consistency and engagement.
  • Unlimited In-Person Membership
For those who feel yoga as a regular, integrated part of daily life.

Online Yoga Membership:

  • Everyday Online Yoga Membership
Practice live or on your own schedule, wherever you are.

For students balancing steady practice with study, the online option can be especially supportive while completing a yoga instructor course, working toward online yoga teacher certification, or continuing along any of the yoga teacher certification pathways as a certified yoga instructor.

A membership can offer savings compared to class packs, but its deeper value lies in consistency and connection. A monthly membership supports regular practice, helps you prioritize well-being, and invites you into the shared rhythm of community through familiar faces and ongoing support.

Members also enjoy in-studio retail discounts and special perks at local small businesses. Many students find this steady practice especially supportive while working toward becoming a certified yoga trainer, completing yoga trainer certification, or studying within a yoga teacher training certificate program. Ongoing membership can also complement a longer yoga teacher training course, helping learning feel embodied, integrated, and sustainable.

Choosing to step into yoga teacher training is a personal decision. Many students begin by taking classes, joining workshops, and participating in community events to feel the teaching style and rhythm of Soul of Yoga.

When you’re ready to explore formal study, we help you understand your options, whether you’re looking for Yoga Alliance-accredited teacher training near you or an online yoga teacher training course that fits your life. From foundational 200-hour training through advanced study, including 300-hour and 500-hour pathways or continued learning such as yoga therapy certification, we’re here to support your next steps so your training path feels clear and aligned.
