There’s an unfolding from June through October that is asking us to wholly participate in life rather than to wait and see what’s next. In other words, the next four months want us to actively engage in life in a more conscious and embodied way. Because of this, you might feel the pull of life awaking within you in new ways.

This particular phase carries a quality of wisdom entering the emotional body asking us to relax into it, and allow it to guide us through integrated expression. Many of you may already feel this in subtle ways. Emotions that were once easy to bypass may now feel closer to the surface while situations that once triggered a reaction are now asking for a different response. You will likely notice that you get to the point where you can’t control this new phase of growth. You know what you want, you know what you are willing to do and not do, and it must be expressed and not just something kept neatly inside, protected from the world.

The bigger truth here is that we are being invited to become larger than the former versions of ourselves, and bigger than our habitual patterns. Interestingly this won’t likely come through force or discipline alone, but through the evolutionary journey that we’ve been on asking to come to life. It will reveal where we are out of alignment with ourselves and with it, comes the courage we need to take guided action.

You may notice that relationships become a focal point during this time as well. This is because the energy is ripe to let them evolve. You may notice that places where there has been friction, there is an opportunity to bring resolution. If you have felt distance, you can find closeness or the next best stage of the relationship that feels aligned for all.

In this field of energy, there is little space for avoidance or bypassing. You’ll have what you need to address the things that need attention. The exciting part is that you get to learn how to engage without losing yourself in reaction. You will likely find you don’t need to self abandon to protect relationships because there is space being created for you to fully arrive. I don’t mean to paint a rosy picture. All things come with all things. That said, you will likely find that the extra umph you have needed will be available to you when you need it. The work is still yours to do, but the overarching support is there too.

For many, there may also be a pull inward. This may look like a desire to simplify your environment, to create spaces that feel more supportive, more intentional and reflective of who you are becoming. This can show up in very practical ways, how you organize your home, structure your day, and even how you choose where your energy goes. All of this becomes the foundation that supports you moving forward as you continue this journey of life cultivating your natural gifts and strengths. It’s time to start releasing the noise and returning home to the self, then building your life based on that. Most of us have been on that journey for a long time, so just consider that there is a deepening here.

At the same time, there is a subtle encouragement toward expression. Ideas that have been sitting beneath the surface may begin to move forward, finally, from a place of readiness. You may feel called to create, teach, share, or to build something that carries meaning beyond yourself. When you have these impulses, it’s worth listening to them as they are often aligned with a deeper current of wisdom asking to move through you.

You may notice a spiritual attuning that can happen during this period offering the felt sense of what matters now. You may find your body/mind naturally assessing what is worth your time and attention. The important thing to recognize about the questions arising from within is that they don’t necessarily require immediate answers. It’s more to say that this wisdom just needs space, attention, and a willingness to listen.

It is important to recognize that with greater sensitivity can come moments of overwhelm. You may feel more than you are used to feeling or a tendency to overextend yourself for others or to avoid necessary conversations in the name of keeping peace. Notice how you respond to this sensitivity. Developing discernment, viveka, becomes essential. As is keeping in mind that compassion doesn’t require self-abandonment and spirituality isn’t asking you to carry what isn’t yours to carry.

There is also a refinement happening in how you relate to your own inner voice. You may begin to notice the difference between the voice of habit and the voice of deeper knowing. One is often urgent, repetitive, and rooted in old conditioning. The other is quieter, more spacious, and does not demand, it simply invites. Learning to trust this quieter voice is part of the work of this time. It may guide you toward decisions that feel unfamiliar at first, but carry a sense of rightness that is difficult to explain and yet unmistakable when you feel it.

Alongside this sensitivity, there is an opening around how you hold and transmit energy to others. Be aware of the way you listen, speak, and the way you show up in small moments which begins to carry more impact. People may not always articulate this to you, but they will feel it. This is where your practice becomes felt by others, where you radiate what you practice in an embodied way. The commitment you cultivate within yourself begins to create a unique support for those around you, and this becomes a form of service that does not require efforting, only Be-ing.

If you are looking for 5 simple ways to work with this energy, begin here.

  1. Choose one area of your life where there has been tension and bring conscious attention to it. Just this step will begin shifting your relationship to it. Notice what the tension is and recognize that tension is usually two sides of something creating polarity and it is through this very polarity that transformation arises. Look at things from all perspectives and notice your attachments and aversions.
  2. Practice pausing before reacting. Even a single breath creates space for a different kind of response to emerge. When we react, it’s typically from samskaras, engrained patterns, which will only give us the usual results. It’s time to disrupt these old patterns by taking a few breaths, and pausing something for a few minutes, to a day to weeks! Divine flow will guide you. Trust that.
  3. Create environments, both physical and relational, that support the version of you that is unfolding. Let your surroundings nourish you rather than deplete you. In Ayurveda it’s said that your environment is your extended body. Look around the places you spend the majority of your time. What are the characteristics? What could be altered? Does it truly represent you and call the best out of you?
  4. Listen to what feels right within you, even if it does not yet have a clear form. There is a deeper intelligence available right now that is not purely logical. Ask your mind to not involve itself and stay in the grey where the unknown can be a place of rebirth rather than fear.
  5. And perhaps most importantly, allow yourself to step out of small battles that don’t truly matter. There is a dignity in conserving your energy for what is meaningful. Can you inventory unnecessary output of energy that you engage in? Look into this without any self-judgement. It’s a shared human experience to send our energy in many directions at once, however, that doesn’t mean it’s the most life giving. What can you observe about this within your life?

When you show up to this period of time consciously, the shift can be internal in a way that reshapes how you move through life, as well as reshape areas of your life that are asking for pruning. There is a way of being that is less reactive, more present, and more attuned available to you where honoring yourself in big and small ways becomes the norm. In this sense, you are being of greater service to the world.

The overall tone of this cosmic chapter is all about becoming more fully yourself, with this remember to stay close to your practice and let your awareness lead.
