Jyotish, often called Vedic astrology, offers a map for exploring the relationship between planetary patterns, the body, the mind, and the choices we make. Its full tradition is vast, but you don’t need to master every part of it to begin using its insights.
This nine class course offers an approachable entry into Jyotish for your own practice and for your work with clients or students. Using free online chart software, you’ll learn to identify a few powerful features of a birth chart and explore what they may reveal about a person’s gifts, recurring challenges, emotional landscape, and relationship with healing.
You’ll also learn how to bring those insights into conversation and Yogic practice with care. A chart can open meaningful questions about someone’s experience, while the person in front of you remains the authority on their own life.
What you’ll take away
By the end of the course, you will:
- The ability to generate a Jyotish birth chart using free online software, with no AI interpretation required.
- A practical way to begin reading signs, planetary placements, and the lunar nodes without feeling overwhelmed by the full system.
- A deeper understanding of how Jyotish can inform your personal Yoga practice and daily choices.
- New questions to explore when a client or student feels caught in a recurring emotional pattern or finds healing difficult.
- Ways to consider a person’s emotional and physical experience alongside chart symbolism, without treating the chart as a diagnosis.
- Simple practices for working with lunar cycles and the qualities traditionally associated with the planets.
