How the Training Works and Schedule:

• Attend In Person in Encinitas, CA or Livestreaming Online
• Two Weekends May 18-19 and November 1, 2 & 3, 2024
  May 18-19 Schedule
  Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19:  11:00am-6:00pm PST (for in person attendees) or 11:00am-5:00pm PST (for online attendees)
  November 1-3 Schedule
  Friday, November 1:  5:00-8:00pm PST
  Saturday and Sunday, November 2 & 3:  11:00am-6:00pm PST (for in person attendees) or 11:00am-5:00pm PST (for online attendees)
• Online Mentoring, Private Online Facebook Classroom, and Home Curriculum of Practices.
• One 2.5 hour Monthly Online Master Class and Practicum: June, August, September, October. 2nd Monday of each month 4-6:30 PM-PDT
• 15 hours per month of Online Learning on a Private Facebook Interactive Group: Readings, Listening Practices, Designing a Flyer for a Class, Recordings, Posts, and Discussion Forum
• 15 Hours Practicum as a Voice Facilitator or Recording their Voice making music that connects with the learning topics.
• 10 Hours preparation time for Individual Student Presentations.

All Modules include theory, practices, posting, and inspiring readings.

Module 1:  Vocal Techniques Mastery. Become familiar with the qualities and generative potential of your voice. Mindset and embody. Healing with the Voice

Module 2:  Deep Listening Practices. The Metaphysics of Sonic Resonance and Tone Magic. Medicine Melodies. Repertory and Group Facilitation Practices

Module 3:  Crystal bowl playing techniques. Harmonic Resonance. Drones and the Voice in Vocal Meditations. Group Facilitation Practices

Module 4:  Melodic Artistry. The Melodic Voice: Call and Response mastery. Repertory and Group Facilitation Practices

Module 5:   Students Presentations. The Voices of the Voice. Ritual and Ceremony.

Silvia Nakkach, MA, MMT, is a Grammy-nominated musician, and a pioneer and a driving force of innovation in field of the sound in transformation of consciousness, and music in shamanic practices. She is an award-winning composer, author, vocal artist, and former music psychotherapist. While on the faculty of CIIS, she created the prime Certificate on Sound and Voice in the Healing Arts hosted by an academic institution. She is the founding director of the international Vox Mundi School of Voice with centers across the US, Europe, Japan, Brazil, South Korea, and India, where she travels extensively each year with groups of students interested in training in the Yoga of the Voice. Presently, she is the Coordinator and Faculty of the Sound Healing Certificate at the Open Center in New York City. She has devoted 36 years to the study of North Indian classical music under the direction of the late Maestro Ali Akbar Khan and other great masters of the Dhrupad Raga Singing tradition.
