Yin Yoga with Joe Barnett
January 22-28, 2023 ⋅ 50 Hours
This specialty module covers two levels of Yin Yoga training. The first 25 hours are the Foundation Modules which are designed to give a broad overview of the Yin Yoga practice. Any one of them have the potential to give the budding Yin teacher the understanding to begin teaching a safe and simple sequence of postures. While each module will touch on each of the 7 Archetypal poses and their variations, each will dissect two of these archetypes in much greater detail.
The second 25 hours is the Next Level Yin Yoga Training designed for the Yogi who has completed at least one Yin Foundation Module and will cover different advanced topics.
Gentle Yoga with Flossie Park, E-RYT 500 YACEP and other master teachers
April 24-28, 2023 ⋅ 50 Hours
People searching for “gentle yoga” is by far the fastest growing inquiry in the yoga world. With more people looking to begin a yoga practice for greater physical and mental wellbeing it’s even more advantageous for teachers to learn various gentle yoga teaching skills. This 50-hour module will provide participants a full range of Gentle Yoga techniques including: chair yoga, gentle and restorative flow, Yoga Nidra, joint freeing series, yoga for plus size bodies, pranayama and meditation. Students will gain greater confidence in offering these new skills through lessons in sequencing, presentation, class design, structured practicum, and guidance on finding their own intuitive sense and unique teaching voice. This course will hone your teaching skills, helping you to support a much broader range of students and offer a greater range of classes.
Vinyasa Yoga with Stacy McCarthy
July 17-21, 2023 ⋅ 50 Hours
This specialty module teaches a method that balances precise instruction, detailed alignment, breath and fluid movement. Classes are carefully themed to deepen the students’ experience of yoga. A flow of sun salutations and postures are skillfully sequenced, and modifications and props are used to individualize the practice for each student. The program uniquely blends the eastern and western teachings of yoga with today’s most current and practical applications. The training is anchored in a deep understanding of the body and biomechanics and goes far beyond teaching poses alone.

Director 200 Hour, Co-Owner Soul of Yoga
Outstanding training lead by Flossie and Monique! The caliber of supporting teachers and carefully crafted scheduling was admirable, simply exceptional. The delivery and translating of vast amounts of information, concepts and knowledge was flawless. Soul of Yoga Institute sets the bar high and is a unique leader in the community. Bravo!
I started teaching Yoga right after graduation for a private Yoga Studio in San Diego. In addition, I completed the trauma-informed Yoga training at the Soul of Yoga as well as completed the Reiki Master training at Soul of Yoga with Erika Lee.
Shortly after I began teaching for a non-profit organization that helps those affected by Domestic Violence and Sexual Abuse. I was so grateful to lead Yoga for their Survivor Retreats. I was nominated and appointed to the Board for the Victims of Violent Crime through The San Diego District Attorneys office. After attending several Board meetings and meeting so many great people within the organization, I was asked by the Assistant Deputy District Attorney to be the keynote speaker for the first ever Victims of Violent Crime Survivors Summit as well as to be a lead facilitator for the planning sessions during the Summit. I was asked to speak on Transforming Trauma through Yoga. I was also asked to lead a Yoga class for the entire Summit. There were over 500 attendees. I was so nervous and at the same time it felt so right—like everything that has happened was meant to get me to this place. Following the Survivors Summit, I was asked to lead another Yoga class at a Domestic Violence Training for the Community which also had over 400 attendees. This is just a little of what I have been up to.
Yoga 200 hour training focuses on helping you the student find your authentic self. Therefore enabling you to be a better teacher. We know at the soul that the best teachers are those that know the asana and even more the best teachers are the ones that know themselves and teach from their soul center.
