Sing and Meditate with the Ancient Art of Nada Yoga – The Yoga of Sound

Join us for a journey into Nada Yoga, the ancient practice that uses sound and vibration as a path to inner stillness and spiritual connection. This class begins with gentle techniques to warm up the vocal cords, helping you sing with awareness, ease, and accurate pitch.

You’ll learn foundational exercises from classical Indian music, become familiar with the Indian scale (sargam), and explore practical tools for conscious listening and vocal projection. Emphasis will be placed on the deep connection between breath, voice, and presence.

To conclude, Alan and Laura will offer a serene live presentation of a classical Raga, featuring bansuri, tanpura, and voice. You’ll be invited to lie down, relax, and absorb the healing vibrations in a meditative sound bath.

No prior singing experience necessary — just bring your curiosity and an open heart.

Tickets: $35 In Advance, $40 At the Door

About the Facilitators:

Alan and Laura are the creators of Yucca Yoga, a home studio offering asana, meditation, and music. They have been practicing Hatha Yoga for over 20 years and have lead workshops and retreats in Europe, India and the US. Alan’s lifelong music practice coupled with yoga lead him to play bansuri, the Indian flute. In 2018 Laura accompanied him to a music school in India where she began her study of Dhrupad, an ancient vocal practice. Together they continue to study classical Indian music with renowned teachers and performers around the world and offer introductory classes to students of all experience levels.
