We live in challenging times and incidence of anxiety and depression, stress and anger are on the rise. We know a steady yoga practice can help us navigate these difficulties and gain emotional resilience. This workshop goes a step further to illuminate specific therapeutic techniques that can shift one’s mood in the moment.

Amy Weintraub, author of Yoga for Depression, the Yoga For Your Mood Card Deck, and Yoga Skills for Therapists, will share her evidenced-based protocols in this experiential immersion. Teaching through the lenses of current scientific research, personal experience, and ancient Yogic philosophy, Amy illuminates how our nervous system can become stuck, and how we can amplify balance and health.

(all full days will include a mid-workshop 90 minute break and several shorter breaks throughout the day)

Certification:

Required for Yoga Therapy Training and the 300 Hour Training

Amy Weintraub is the founder of the LifeForce Yoga® Healing Institute, an acclaimed yoga therapist, and a pioneer in the field of yoga and mental health. Author of the best-selling Yoga for Depression and Yoga Skills for Therapists, she teaches and guides thousands of practitioners and therapists around the world. She thrives in Tucson, Arizona, where she mountain bikes, dances, writes, and creates.

In 1999 Amy wrote The Natural Prozac, Yoga Journal’s first article addressing yoga and mental health. Her latest offering, Yoga for Your Mood Deck: 52 Ways to Shift Depression and Anxiety, will be released by Sounds True in the spring of 2021.
