This session will introduce grant funding as an adjunct funding source to allow you to diversity your income stream as a yoga therapist.
Grant funding from governments, national or local foundations, health charities, or workplace wellness initiatives is often accessed to make yoga accessible to people without the means to pay, to get the benefits of yoga into the workplace, or to offer yoga to specific populations such as those with chronic health conditions who would not seek out yoga as a therapy alternative.
Using a specific example of a successful grant application for a group yoga therapy program, the session covers when and why you may want to explore this as a funding opportunity, strategies for looking for grant funding locally, the detailed process of applying for funding, and tips for running your funded program & completing reports for funders.
