- The Text’s Outline: noticing the text’s various components (the transitions of which are not always clear)
- Using context to figure out the meanings of complicated passages
- Noticing stipulative definitions
- Working with the complexity of Sanskrit word meanings
This course is for those that are just starting to read the Yoga Sutra or if you have had confusions in your past attempts.
It is recommended to have a copy of the Yoga Sūtra text to use. Any English translation of the full text will work.

Meet your Teacher:
Dennis Chowenhill began his yoga practice in 1975 at the Integral Yoga Institute, and subsequently studied Hatha and Pranayama through the Ananda Institute. His personal yoga practice includes the study of yoga classics that represent yoga philosophy. With his teaching, Dennis seeks to help his students discover the yoga practices that serve them best.
